Who we are

We are a bunch of Kiwis from all walks of life and backgrounds helping each other to make sense of what is going on in sharing “alternative” views and current scientific developments.

This information is accumulated on this website, for everybody to use and make informed decisions.

We are taking the highest precautions to protect the personal information of anyone using this website and to ensure that all information used on our website is kept between Real Insight NZ and Yourself. All of your personal data (name, contact details, etc.) will be kept secure, so it CANNOT be read by anyone over the internet.

The servers that collect and store personal information are kept in a secure environment. Real Insight NZ does not collect on-line transaction credit card details or store credit card details.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Your personal data is generated from technical processes such as contact and donation forms, comments, cookies, analytics, and third party embeds.

Emails & Newsletter

If you have subscribed to our newsletter or if you are a member of our website (you can log in), there is a good chance you will receive emails from us. We will only send you emails which you have signed up to receive, or which pertain to the services we provided to you.

To send you emails, we use the name and email address you provide us. Our site also logs the IP address you used when you signed up for the service to prevent abuse of the system.

This website can send emails through the Newsletter sending service. This service allows us to track opens and clicks on our emails. We use this information to improve the content of our newsletters.
No identifiable information is otherwise tracked outside this website except for the email address.

Support Contributions

We collect information about you during the contribution process on our website. This information may include, but is not limited to, your name, address, phone number, credit card/payment details and any other details that might be requested from you for the purpose of processing your contributions.

Handling this data allows us to:

– Send you important account/contribution/service information.
– Respond to your queries, refund requests or complaints.
– Process payments and prevent fraudulent transactions. We do this on the basis of our legitimate organizational interests.
– Set up and administer your account, provide technical and contributor support, and to verify your identity.

Additionally, we may also collect the following information:

– Your contribution comments if you choose to leave them on our website.
– Cookies which are essential to keep track of your contribution history whilst your session is active. This allows you to access your contribution receipt without being a registered, logged in user.
– Account email/password to allow access to your account, if you have one.
– If you choose to create an account with us, your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the contribution form for future contributions.

Collection and use of Personal Information

Your privacy is very important to us. Real Insight NZ is the sole owner of the information collected on this website and may provide information only to partners whom you are directly affiliated with. We will not disclose or divulge this information to other third parties under any circumstances.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

You can contact us to request to view the information stored or even to get it deleted should you not want to be connected to us in any form.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its Metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their user-name). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. The information will be stored as long as this service is operational or until the user, you, requests deletion of their personal details.
